Day 1 San José
Arrival to San José.
Welcome at the airport and transfer to your hotel.
Overnight at your hotel
Day 2 • San Jose - Tortuguero
2h30 drive 1h30 + boat
Leaving early on morning to the road for the Caribbean coast passing by Braulio Carrillo National Park. By the middle of banana plantations you will board a large motorized canoe to go up the main channel to Tortuguero National Park. The park is located along the northeast coast of Costa Rica in the thinnest and most humid region of the country; it is separated from the Atlantic Ocean by a narrow strip of sable. Its isolation protects it from the ravages of civilization. Lodging and lunch at hotel and visit the village and the Museum of the Turtle.
Dinner and overnight in all inclusive lodge.
Day 3
Tortuguero
Along the peaceful canals, natural or excavated by man, with calm waters and fringed by forest, often seen in monkeys, sloths, iguanas, caimans, turtles and colorful tropical birds. Tortuguero beaches are the most important site in the area Western Caribbean for the nesting green turtles (July-October). It is therefore not surprising that "Tortuguero" is a derivative of the Spanish name designating the turtles
Day 4
Tortuguero – Poás (1h30 boat + 3h00 drive)
Breakfast and around 9 am get the canal returning at the heart of the banana plantations. Lunch on the way. Your rental car can be bring to you by free at the restaurant where lunch, halfway between Guápiles - Siquirres and then to continue to the Poás Volcano passing by Sarapiquí region. Check in at the lodge.
DIA 5
Poás
Día dedicado a descubrir el volcán Poás y los Waterfalls Gardens. Posibilidad de paseo a caballo desde el hotel.
Tip:
1. The Poás Volcano is one of the actives volcanoes in the country with a height of 8874.67 ft high (2.705 m). At the top of the main crater, after a 15’ walk, discover the awesome power of a volcano. Down the hill a muddy pond and bubbling sulfur. The steam escapes it is often confused with the clouds that cover the crater. Then, a path will take you to the second crater; this one is filled with cold water and is surrounded by lush vegetation.
2. La Paz Waterfall Gardens and its 6 amazing waterfalls. Then visit this magnificent park, located between 4429.13 ft ant 4921.26 ft (1,350/1,500 m) of altitude and from where you can watch a series of waterfalls, a butterfly farm and hummingbird.
Day 6 Poás - Arenal (2h00 drive)
Breakfast, then head towards the plains of San Carlos to the village of La Fortuna.
Tip: Tabacón Hot Springs, a magical spot to bathe in the waterfalls that descend the volcano at 102° F (39 °C)
Day 7 Arenal
Breakfast at the hotel
Tip: Visit a National Park, Arenal. It is a cone-shaped volcano, rising from the plains. This is the most active volcano in the country. During the day, often clouds of ash and smoke filled the sky above the crater. At night, when the sky is clear, eruptions of lava and rocks explode in the sky and fall along the cone.
2-You can also go to the hot springs of the magnificent Baldi pools or hot water cascades down from the 39° active volcano. When the sky is clear, you will attend in this wonderful scene, the spectacle of incandescent lava tracing a path along the slopes of the volcano. Overnight at your hotel.
Day 8 Arenal Volcano - Rincón de la Vieja (4h30 drive)
Departure to the Guanacaste area; the sunniest region of the country with its large grasslands and numerous ranches.
Tip: the banks of Tempisque and Bebedero Rivers, boating tour on the Corobicí River.
Check in and lodging at your hotel.
Day 9 Rincon de la Vieja
A day to enjoy activities in Rincon de la Vieja area.
Tips: Rincon de la Vieja The National Park, fumaroles, mud baths, hiking, horseback riding, canopy tour, ATV’s, waterfalls ...
Day 10
Rincón de la Vieja – Playa Tamarindo (1h30 drive)
Route to Tamarindo, check in and lodging at hotel.
Day 11
Tamarindo
Breakfast and day off to enjoy hotel facilities and surrounded beaches.
As option: Horseback riding, ATV Tours, diving, snorkeling, Palo Verde Rio Tempisque & Guaitil Combo, excursion to see turtles (according to time of the year), sport fishing.

Day 12
Tamarindo - Manuel Antonio (5h00 drive)
Breakfast. On the way along the Pacific coast by passing many palm plantations of which is extracted the oil from palms and crossing through the towns of Esterillos and Parrita you will reach Quepos and Manuel Antonio. This trendy beach offers within its National Park, some of the most beautiful beaches in the country. Numerous hotels, restaurants and bars have stunning views over the Park and the Pacific Ocean. The cornice of Manuel Antonio, the town and the port of Quepos are some of the major tourist sites in Costa Rica.
Tips: Visit Carara National Park, Carara Biological Reserve is a first approach to tropical forest with its many ecosystems. You may see along accessible trails, plants and animals from both the rain forest and dry forest. Monkeys, sloths, anteaters, crocodiles, iguanas, poison dart frogs, thousands of butterflies are some examples of the wildlife that you can see. Dozens of species of birds including the scarlet macaw, make Carara reserve a privileged place for and amateur ornithologists. Tárcoles and boat tour looking for crocodiles, the aerialtram from the Canopy of the Pacific, and much more

Manuel Antonio
Manuel Antonio
Stay at Manuel Antonio to take advantage of the extraordinary beaches and the lively atmosphere of its many bars and restaurants.
Tip: Manuel Antonio National Park is one of the most beautiful and most visited of the country, with splendid dream beaches, crystalline waters and woods full of spider monkeys, iguanas and coatis or rafting at Savegre River.
Day 14
Manuel Antonio / San Jose (3h30 drive)
Return to the Central Valley and the capital of Costa Rica.
Drop off the rent-a-car at the airport or leave it in the hotel if you spend your last night in San Jose.
